About the role
- Senior Software Engineer leading backend development for healthcare software in Berlin. Collaborating with CTO to build systems impacting patient care and healthcare innovation.
Responsibilities
- Work side-by-side with our CTO and our engineering team to develop systems that power our platform in hospitals and allow us to continuously ship great features.
- Lead backend work, helping us to scale reliably across cloud and hybrid deployments.
- Take ownership of key components in our product roadmap and collaborate with our product and design functions to deliver features end-to-end.
- Drive the design, enhancement, and optimization of our software architecture to ensure scalability, efficiency, and maintainability.
- Champion thorough testing.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience building production TypeScript backend services with proven architecture skills.
- Deep understanding of service-to-service communication patterns (with GraphQL)
- Experience working in B2B SaaS, ideally with data-heavy or API-first products.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor junior colleagues.
- (Bonus) Familiarity with medical software or healthcare data standards (e.g. FHIR).
- Already residing in Berlin (or within daily commuting distance) and authorised to work in Germany.
