About the role
- Senior Accounting and Financial Expert overseeing accounting department for DLL DACH. Ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic financial planning.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for month-end and year-end closing activities (local GAAP)
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards (local GAAP and IFRS)
- Ensure monitoring and documentation of internal controls (RCF)
- Oversee bank operations for all DACH entities
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audits
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices
- Ensure effective use of accounting software and other financial tools
- Communicate with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities
- Participate in a variety of cross-functional projects
Requirements
- Excellent technical data analysis skills
- Solid accounting expertise with a strong understanding of German GAAP and IFRS
- Initial leadership experience; 5–8 years of experience in accounting or finance, including at least 3 years in a senior role
- Proficiency with accounting software (preferably ORACLE) and MS Office applications
- Strong team leadership skills
- Reconciliation and coordination skills, high accuracy and attention to detail
- Project management experience
- Hands-on, proactive mindset
- Excellent communication skills in German and English
