About the role
- Senior Developer responsible for supporting, evolving, and modernizing TMS systems written in VB6. Involves working with SQL Server and participating in project estimations and improvements.
Responsibilities
- Act as a Senior Developer responsible for the maintenance, evolution, and modernization of TMS systems developed in VB6 with a SQL Server database.
- Ensure technical quality, adherence to change processes (GMUD/ITIL), and provide support for project estimation and budgeting.
- Develop and maintain VB6 applications.
- Work with SQL Server (data modeling, stored procedures, performance tuning).
- Participate in the evolution and improvement of TMS systems.
- Ensure development best practices and code quality.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead and participate in GMUD processes, following ITIL methodology.
- Prepare technical estimates and support project budgeting.
- Support technical impact analysis for new requirements.
- Interact with business stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in the development environment.
Requirements
- Solid experience with VB6.
- Experience with SQL Server (stored procedures, data modeling, and performance tuning).
- Experience with TMS systems.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with GMUD/change processes within the ITIL framework.
- Experience in technical estimation and project budgeting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Proactive attitude.
- Desirable (Medium): Experience in logistics companies.
- Experience with modernization or migration of legacy systems.
- Knowledge of integration with other systems (ERP, routing, WMS).
