About the role

  • Purchasing and procurement technician handling goods and services sourcing and asset management at Desjardins. Technical support for projects and operational issues with a focus on procurement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for projects and operational issues.
  • Submit solutions and action plans and take corrective action as needed.
  • Conduct technical studies, research and analysis.
  • Analyze procurement and purchasing needs.
  • Carry out activities.
  • Follow up and verify as needed to meet quality standards and follow purchasing and procurement processes.
  • Prepare documents; draft and produce technical notes and reports; and validate information and update files for day-to-day purchasing and procurement management.
  • Help identify and propose opportunities for improvement.
  • Help practitioners follow your unit’s processes and use its business solutions, tools and systems.

Requirements

  • College diploma in a related field
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Intermediate advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
