About the role
- Trade Compliance/Global Logistics Student role at Daktronics providing support to the corporate logistics team. Engaging in compliance initiatives, international relations, and data analysis tasks within a corporate environment.
Responsibilities
- Work as a member of the corporate logistics team in our sourcing department
- Manage relationships with our freight services suppliers, including freight forwarding and customs brokerage
- Assist our U.S. factories with imports, exports, and trade compliance needs
- Work with our international subsidiaries on their imports
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Interact with internal customers and external vendors via phone, email, and meetings
- Develop skills in prioritizing, problem solving, and strategic thinking
- Analyze data to support initiatives and improve processes
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in International Business, Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field
- In their sophomore or junior year of school
- Maintain an acceptable GPA (preference to 2.5 GPA or greater)
- Ability to travel by air and ground
- Valid driver’s license
- Meet and maintain Daktronics Driving Eligibility Requirements
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, flexible, organized, and team player
- Microsoft office experience preferred
- Good oral and written communication skills, including professional telephone skills
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
