Network Administrator managing Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure for Credit Union ONE. Responsible for administration, operation, and support of cloud operations and services in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
The position is primarily responsible for the administration, operation, and support of the Credit Union ONE Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure.
This includes the planning, design, installation, configuration, maintenance, optimization, and support of servers, network services, software, data and voice communications, Internet services, unified communications, data storage, and other components of the IT Infrastructure.
The position optimizes the performance of the Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure to ensure efficient, effective, and reliable IT operations in support of established credit union business strategies and objectives.
Azure Cloud Administration – Administers and supports Microsoft Azure subscriptions, tenants, and resources.
Deploys, configures, and manages Azure services including; Virtual Machines (VMs), Maintain and support Windows Server environments integrated with Azure services, Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, NSGs, and routing, Azure Storage (Blob, File, Disk), Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery, Azure App Services and supporting PaaS resources (as applicable).
Supports hybrid connectivity between Azure and on‑premises environments using VPN and/or ExpressRoute, Monitors Azure resource performance, availability, and capacity using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and alerts.
Azure Identity and Access Management - Administers Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) including users, groups, roles, and conditional access.
Implements and manages: Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Reviews and audits access privileges regularly to ensure least‑privilege security.
Develops and executes scheduled cloud maintenance activities including patching, updates, and lifecycle management.
Manages backups, recovery testing, and disaster recovery procedures.
Documents and tests Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) plans involving Azure resources.
Automates routine tasks using Azure-native tools, scripting, or Infrastructure as Code where applicable.
Provides Tier II / Tier III support for cloud-related incidents and service requests.
Proactively monitors systems to prevent outages and performance degradation.
Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to Azure compute, networking, identity, and storage.
Implements and maintains Azure security best practices aligned with regulatory and financial‑industry standards.
Supports logging, monitoring, and incident response for cloud security events.
Works closely with IT Security and compliance teams to remediate vulnerabilities and audit findings.
Ensures encryption, secure configuration, and proper key management are enforced.
Requirements
Bachelors’ degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college and two years of work-related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience should provide incumbent with knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Azure Cloud computer/data processing system operations, network administration, and data security methods, preferably at a financial institution.
2+ years of experience administering Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of: Azure networking, compute, storage, and identity services, Cloud security principles and access controls, Hybrid cloud environments.
Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert certifications a Plus.
Strong knowledge of perimeter security, social engineering, and other aspects of information security practices.
Strong knowledge and understanding of switches, routers, firewalls, security appliances, VPN, IDS, IPS, and the LAN/WAN network environment.
Experience in the Cisco product suite is a plus.
Additional experience with products from such vendors as Genesys, Cohesity, and Broadcom are also a plus.
Ability and knowledge to design, change and implement complex network solutions.
