About the role
- Bauleiter/Bauingenieur managing maintenance and modernization of residential properties in the Ruhrgebiet. Planning, monitoring, and collaborating on projects for Covivio over 20 years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Independently plan and carry out maintenance and modernization measures for our residential and commercial properties as well as large construction projects for an assigned portfolio in Mülheim an der Ruhr and Essen
- Prepare construction schedules, specifications (bills of quantities) and participate in the awarding of contracts
- Monitor construction projects, execution quality and subcontractor deadlines
- Monitor warranty issues for our existing properties and ensure safety, health and environmental protection on site
- Support the achievement of our climate goals by actively contributing to the energy optimization of the building stock
- Work closely with our leasing agents, property managers and customer service representatives
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or qualification as a technician or master craftsman (m/f/d) with relevance to the housing industry
- Solid knowledge of the housing sector
- Professional experience in modernization of existing residential properties, with good knowledge of building law, relevant technical standards and the HOAI (German Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers)
- Understanding of and experience with tendering software (e.g., ORCA & iTWO)
- Strong cost awareness and strategic thinking
- Reliable, team-oriented and communicative personality with assertiveness
