About the role

Responsibilities
- Independently plan and carry out maintenance and modernization measures for our residential and commercial properties as well as for large construction projects for an assigned portfolio in Mülheim an der Ruhr and Essen
- Prepare construction schedules, specifications of services (bills of quantities) and assist in the awarding of contracts
- Monitor construction projects, execution quality and deadlines of subcontractors
- Oversee warranty matters for our existing properties and ensure safety, health and environmental protection on site
- Support the achievement of our climate targets by actively contributing to the energy optimization of the building stock
- Work closely with our property managers, residential administrators and customer service teams
Requirements
- Degree in civil engineering or completed training as a technician or master craftsman (m/f/d) with relevance to the housing industry
- Sound knowledge of the residential property sector
- Professional experience in modernizing existing residential buildings, as well as good knowledge of construction law, relevant technical standards and the HOAI (official scale of fees for services by architects and engineers)
- Understanding of and experience with tendering/bidding software (e.g., ORCA & iTWO)
- Strong cost awareness and strategic thinking
- Reliable, team-oriented and communicative personality with assertiveness
