About the role

• Tech Lead Manager in the Country Expansion team at Coinbase, focusing on international growth initiatives. Collaborating cross-functionally to enhance cryptocurrency adoption across strategic markets.

Responsibilities

• For the first 6 months, you will act as the tech lead, focusing on technical projects and directly contributing to code.
• Spend at least 25% of your time being a strong individual contributor, driving the engineering quality and velocity of the team by being an exemplary practitioner.
• Build high-performance services using Golang and gRPC, creating seamless integrations that elevate Coinbase's customer experience.
• Be a thoughtful technical voice within the team, aiding in diligent architectural decisions and fostering a culture of high-quality code and engineering processes.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to ensure successful delivery and operation of multi-tenanted, distributed systems at scale.
• Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise.
• Mentor and coach team members on system design techniques and coding standards.
• Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering
• You’ve experienced architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact
• You’re passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together
