About the role
- Cloud Engineer leading development and maintenance of Internal Developer Platform. Operating hosted infrastructure and collaborating on software development in an agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Operation and development of our Internal Developer Platform / runtime environment and GitOps stacks
- Keeping our developer platform running; updating and operating cloud/hosting infrastructure
- Identifying bugs, assisting with troubleshooting and contributing to the further development of our software
- Improving processes to optimize the developer experience
- Working in an agile environment on topics such as open source, CI/CD, DevOps, GitOps and cloud infrastructures
- Applying shared expertise in client consulting projects and within the internal DevOps area
Requirements
- Vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) or a degree in computer science, information management, or a related field
- Advanced knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Java/Groovy, Go, Python, Bash, JavaScript)
- Experience with a cloud provider (e.g., Google Cloud, Azure or AWS) or on-premises environments (e.g., OpenShift, IBM Cloud Private)
- Knowledge of Terraform or OpenTofu
- Basic experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- GitOps experience is a plus
- Very good German and English skills for communication within the team and with our customers
- Strong communication skills, self-organization, and an agile, proactive working style
