About the role

• DevOps Engineer automating and deploying applications in hybrid model at citema systems GmbH. Collaborating with development teams for continuous improvement in high-tech and security-related projects.

Responsibilities

• You ensure that applications are stable, automated and cleanly deployable.
• You work closely with development teams and continuously advance platform and operational processes.
• You are part of our Application Software Platform team and help build our container-based customer platforms as well as our development platforms.
• You are familiar with implementing and evaluating DevOps strategies and processes.
• You have experience collaborating with development teams to integrate DevOps practices across the software development lifecycle.
• You bring valuable experience in creating and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to automate software builds and deployments.
• Operation and further development of Linux- and Windows-based environments and platform services.
• Automation with Ansible and appropriate system-specific scripting.
• Work in Kubernetes environments.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification
• Experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering or IT operations with a focus on automation
• Good knowledge of Linux and/or Windows and solid troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of Ansible and Git, and an understanding of CI/CD
• Practical experience with Kubernetes
• Container basics (Docker)
• Structured working style and strong team skills
• Nice to have: Terraform, Packer, Bash/Python/PowerShell, basic security knowledge
