About the role

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement automated process flows for optical module assembly, packaging, and testing.
- Evaluate, specify, and integrate automation equipment, robotics, and software controls into manufacturing operations.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards in all automation activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with manufacturing automation, robotics, or process control in high-tech environments (optics, semiconductors, photonics, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving skills with hands-on experience troubleshooting automation systems.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with optical module assembly, packaging, and testing processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with high-volume contract manufacturing environments.
- Experience in optics or photonics manufacturing includes active alignment methods.
- Proficiency in PLC programming, machine vision, motion control, and integration of automated equipment.
