About the role
- SAP Finance Solution Lead responsible for configuring General Ledger processes in S/4HANA at Caterpillar. Collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring regulatory compliance and effective financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Lead the configuration and implementation of SAP General Ledger (GL) processes in SAP S/4HANA.
- Design and configure key GL components, including chart of accounts, ledger structures, document splitting, and financial period closing processes.
- Support the integration of GL with other financial components such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (FI-AA), and Controlling (CO).
- Conduct requirement gathering workshops, process mapping, and gap analysis to identify and address business needs.
- Develop functional specifications for custom reports or system enhancements related to GL processes.
- Assist in data migration activities, including the migration of opening balances and historical transactions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues related to GL during development, testing, and post-go-live support.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system testing, and business sign-off activities.
- Ensure compliance with corporate financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members.
Requirements
- Any Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or Information Technology or Related field.
- 8 + Years of relevant working experience in SAP Finance with focus on GL processes
- SAP certifications in Finance or related areas is a plus
- Overall Experience of 10+ Years in IT
