Senior Systems Engineer in healthcare supporting reliable hybrid infrastructure operations and system administration. Collaborating with cloud and platform teams for system performance and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Operate, monitor, and maintain hybrid Azure and on-prem infrastructure environments
Administer Windows Server and Linux systems to ensure stability and performance
Manage and support VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter, networking)
Monitor infrastructure health, investigate alerts, and proactively resolve issues
Support Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity-related services
Act as a senior escalation point for complex operational incidents
Execute backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
Work closely with Engineering teams to support platform reliability and deployments
Maintain accurate operational documentation, runbooks, and SOPs
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and system reliability
Requirements
Several years of experience in infrastructure operations or system administration
Strong hands-on experience operating Windows Server environments
Experience monitoring enterprise infrastructure and responding to alerts and incidents
Experience working in hybrid or cloud-connected environments (Azure preferred)
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
Experience working with monitoring tools and operational dashboards
Experience with ticketing systems, incident management, and on-call support
Strong understanding of operational best practices and system reliability
Clear and effective communication skills and ability to work closely with engineering teams
Nice to have (not required): Experience with Veeam or enterprise backup platforms, Linux server administration experience, familiarity with Kubernetes (AKS or on-prem), basic scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash), exposure to Infrastructure as Code or automation tools.
