Governance Team Assistant supporting the BVCA's activities by organizing committee meetings and providing administrative support. Ideal for those early in their career with an interest in Corporate Governance.
Responsibilities
Organising committee and advisory group meetings and maintaining member contact lists (c. 200 individuals from the industry are involved)
Compiling and preparing all committee paperwork by co-ordinating with BVCA team members involved
Taking minutes at meetings and following up on action points with BVCA and committee members
Assisting in the organisation of any committee related events
Answering telephone calls and managing the committees email account and inbox
Updating the committees and advisory groups pages on the BVCA’s website, and keeping committee lists updated on the CRM system (no prior experience required as training will be given)
General administrative, clerical and research support
Ad-hoc support to the events team and office management team as necessary
Requirements
Excellent academic credentials
Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills with a keen attention to detail
Interest in Corporate Governance and the its role within an organisation
Proficiency in the use of MS Office including Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel
Previous experience of Minute taking would be a big advantage
Previous experience in governance/company secretarial support preferred
Professional manner with the ability to deal with stakeholders of all levels of seniority
