Responsibilities
Participate in and lead engineering and design of HVAC and plumbing systems in various types of facilities
Focus on design and construction activities including project delivery methods
Design HVAC and plumbing systems primarily for HyperScale and Colocation Data Center design
Support additional areas such as Administrative, Warehouse, Laboratory, Chemical Storage & Handling, and more
Conduct Data Center airflow CFD modeling for interior and exterior spaces
Conduct energy audit/efficiency studies, code review/application, and sustainable design/LEED application
Develop engineering skills while working on challenging projects
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
Minimum of 5 years related work experience
Basic knowledge of HVAC and plumbing design
Previous experience in Data Center/Mission Critical Design
Understanding of design differences in Hyper-scale, edge and collation data centers
Familiarity with Data Center tier rating systems
Strong knowledge in Autodesk Revit
Experience in Data Center airflow CFD modeling
Computer generated HVAC cooling and heating loads and HVAC equipment sizing
HVAC system energy modeling and energy code
Technical submittal reviewing process and bid reviewing process for large-scale water and air cooled chiller plants
Familiarity with International Codes Council (ICC) Suite of Codes, ASHRAE Handbooks/Standards, ASPE design handbooks, and SMACNA Standards
Attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously
