Responsibilities
- Lead Projects: Take charge of small to medium-sized projects, ensuring successful delivery to meet client expectations and business objectives.
- Provide mechanical engineering expertise in an industrial environment including detailed mechanical and piping design, development of technical specifications and drawing management.
- Being part of a team that delivers multi-discipline projects – and developing the confidence to lead and own future projects.
- Stepping into a client-facing role and growing into a project engineer, project manager or commissioning manager.
- Travel to client and project sites across NZ, building hands-on experience with industrial mechanical plant, machinery, and automation and control systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (Washington Accord).
- Proven experience in a similar role with 4+ years’ experience.
- Experience or exposure in project management, and an interest in developing these skills further.
- Solid technical knowledge with hygienic and pressure piping system design, surge analysis, pipe stress and hydraulic analysis.
- Familiarity with PECPR requirements, AS/NZS 1170, ASME B31 suite of codes or equivalent standards.
- Exposure to (or a willingness to learn) piping industry software such as AutoPIPE, PIPE-FLO, or similar.
- Willingness to travel to site.
