About the role
- SPS Developer responsible for developing and programming control systems for custom machinery. Working in a hybrid environment with national and international collaboration and customer support.
Responsibilities
- Genuine responsibility – from concept phase to commissioning at the customer's site.
- Full technical responsibility, not just assisting.

- Technically challenging projects – every machine is unique.
- Contribute to PLC software architecture, take technical ownership and be responsible for projects as a whole – not just implementation.
- Development, programming and commissioning of control systems for custom machinery.
- Implementation of control strategies for pressure, temperature and other process parameters.
- Creation and maintenance of HMI visualizations (e.g., WinCC, web HMI).
- Integration of sensors, actuators and drive systems (e.g., Festo, KEB, Siemens).
- Development and maintenance of modular software libraries in TIA Portal.
- Optimization of existing applications and commissioning both in-house and at customer sites.
- Customer support remote/on-site; willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
- Close collaboration with mechanical, electrical and process engineering teams.
Requirements
- Completed technical training with further qualification as a state-certified technician (m/f/d) or industrial supervisor/master (m/f/d), or a degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering or mechatronics.
- Several years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
- Confident use of Siemens TIA Portal (S7-1500, ET200SP).
- Knowledge of WinCC Advanced/Professional, PROFINET and drive technology (Festo/KEB).
- Understanding of process workflows in plastics or press technology.
- Structured, solution-oriented and independent working style.
