Responsibilities
Design and implement data storage solutions that meet the performance, reliability, security and scalability requirements of our software products using automation tools like Terraform and Ansible
Perform installation, configuration, parameter tuning and monitoring of the database technologies using automation tools like Ansible or Terraform
Monitor and optimise performance to ensure high availability and reliability
Develop and implement data backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard against data loss and ensure business continuity
Collaborate with internal teams to understand hosting requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs
Participate in automation for deployment pipelines to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
Help to diagnose and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal disruption to services
Maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture, processes, and procedures
Requirements
Experience between 1-2 years
Must have good knowledge of Linux
Must be well-versed in managing any of the data engines: NoSQL, SQL, RDBMS, Object Storage, File Storage (i.e. PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Clickhouse, ScyllaDB, Minio, etc.)
Must have a strong understanding of data backup and disaster recovery best practices and methodologies
Must have good knowledge of Ansible, Bash, or Terraform for automation tasks
Must possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex storage issues and develop effective solutions
