About the role
- Senior Developer at BlueCat designing, building, and enhancing features in the Integrity ecosystem using Java, React, and PostgreSQL. Collaborating with software and QA teams on scalability and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend and frontend components of the Integrity platform using Java, React, and PostgreSQL.
- Collaborate with other developers, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality features and improvements.
- Tackle and resolve complex technical challenges with creativity and independence.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to testing and automation strategies to improve reliability and maintainability.
- Occasionally lead development efforts or mentor junior team members.
- Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth deployments and performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience in a production environment.
- Proficiency and comfort working with Java, React, and PostgreSQL (expert-level not required).
- Solid understanding of software design principles and best practices.
- Exposure to testing frameworks, automation tools, and infrastructure concepts.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to take ownership of complex technical features and deliver them with minimal supervision.
- Nice to Have: Experience in networking or infrastructure software development.
- Nice to Have: Experience or familiarity with DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) concepts — even if it’s just from hands-on experience configuring a router or home network.
