About the role
- Strategic Buyer managing international sourcing strategies for chemical raw materials at CCS, enhancing supplier relationships and optimizing costs in cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for strategic procurement of production materials at an international level
- Design and implementation of procurement strategies for defined commodity groups with a focus on chemical raw materials
- Independently prepare and conduct necessary price and contract negotiations
- Develop existing supplier relationships and select and qualify new sources of supply across diverse global markets
- Work in cross-functional teams to identify and sustainably realize substantial opportunities, e.g., for cost optimization
- Prepare ad-hoc analyses, cost/benefit analyses and other statistics (KPIs)
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in international sourcing of production materials, preferably in the chemical industry
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken, and experienced with an ERP system (ideally SAP)
- Strong negotiation skills and effective communication with external partners
- Proven ability to drive and implement strategic procurement topics in a complex environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a high degree of initiative
