Responsibilities
Provide support for installation, maintenance, modification, and repair of mechanical, electromechanical, and software-based instruments
Tasks include installation, repair, calibration, cleaning, and testing of instruments
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, review solutions, discuss needs, and ensure safe operational conditions
Actively support the sale of service contracts, collaborate with sales representatives and service team members on system configurations, upgrades, installations, and moves
Complete service administration activities promptly, adhering to ISO, FDA, and BD policies
Requirements
Associate’s degree or Technical School equivalent
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
Collaboration with sales representatives and service team members
Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record
Diagnosing and repairing medical devices, electromechanical equipment, or scientific instruments preferred
Previous experience in diagnosing and repairing medical devices, electromechanical equipment, or scientific instruments is a plus
Bachelor of Science in a related field preferred
Experience in a lab or hospital environment
Ability to travel up to 50%, including occasional overnight stays based on business needs
Lifting requirements - Ability to lift objects weighing up to 30-40 lbs. from the floor to chest level
Ability to push and pull objects weighing up to 70 lbs.
Ability to carry a pack weighing up to 30 lb. on your back for up to 1 hour
Tool Use - Proficient in operating powered drills, screwdrivers, and saws
Able to climb and lift portable ladders and step stools
Ability to perform fine motor tasks while reaching over an 8–10-hour day
Must be able to pass a fit test and annual spirometry for respirator use
