About the role
- Assistant General Counsel providing strategic legal advice for BD’s businesses in EMEA region. Overseeing contracts, compliance, litigation, and collaboration with senior leaders.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior strategic legal advisor to BD’s businesses, manufacturing sites, and functional leaders
- Advise regional and BU leadership on high-impact commercial matters, strategic initiatives, and complex projects
- Lead, oversee, and handle all legal affairs for BD and its subsidiaries in C&EE
- Supervise, guide, and influence the handling of litigation and conflict resolution matters
- Foster close collaboration with corporate functions and participate actively in Law Group and enterprise-wide initiatives
Requirements
- Qualified to practice law in Germany, Switzerland, or Austria
- At least 10 years of post-qualification experience in major law firms or international companies
- Expertise in business counseling, contract negotiation, antitrust laws, and litigation
- Outstanding communication skills
- Collaborative, strategic, and capable of working autonomously in a complex matrix structured global business
