Product Owner overseeing product decisions in mobile power supply solutions at ECTIVE. Focus on market understanding and strategic product development in a growing company.
Responsibilities
Strategic responsibility for one or more product groups in the area of mobile off‑grid power supply (market, portfolio, positioning, profitability)
Product decisions & roadmaps: You decide which products and system solutions are introduced, further developed or discontinued — based on market requirements, strategy and profitability.
Planning & implementation of new products: From idea and requirements specification to market launch, including lifecycle management for products for off‑grid power supply.
Definition of product requirements & USPs: You translate requirements from the RV/camping segment into clear, marketable product and system concepts — within our platform and system guardrails.
Supplier & partner management: Sourcing, selecting and managing new manufacturing partners, predominantly in the Far East, for components and systems for off‑grid power supply.
Close cross‑company collaboration: Coordination with Marketing, Sales, Technical Product Specialists, Development and Purchasing.
Commercial control of the product group: Business cases, cost calculations, margins, forecasts and performance monitoring — you are responsible for the commercial success of your product group(s).
Active contribution to the further development of ECTIVE — beyond your own product group: Bringing ideas to improve processes, structures and product strategy.
Requirements
University degree in business administration or engineering — ideally with an electrical engineering background
Several years of experience in product management / product ownership, preferably with technical products or system solutions for mobile or off‑grid applications
Technical aptitude without being a hands‑on developer: You can assess technology, set priorities and make technical topics understandable for different audiences
Entrepreneurial mindset & sense of responsibility: You combine market requirements, engineering and profitability into successful product decisions
Experience working with international suppliers, ideally China / the Far East
Excellent communication skills — internal and external
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
