Responsibilities
- Join the Bastion engineering team focusing on backend development
- Ramp on service layout, CI/CD, observability, engineering conventions, and practices
- Ship features or quality-of-life improvements in services
- Own a service or capability across products with an eye toward issuance-readiness
- Lead medium-scope projects and strengthen reliability with better logging and alerts
- Drive cross-service initiatives and shape technical direction with design docs
- Collaborate with product and compliance to make regulation-aware tradeoffs
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering
- Proficiency in Go and TypeScript/Node.js
- Experience with gRPC and REST APIs
- Familiarity with Postgres, Redis, Kafka
- Knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and observability practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
