Infrastructure Finance Lead managing compute spend at Baseten, an AI platform for developers. Collaborating with finance and technical teams to optimize production costs.
Responsibilities
Own Strategic Finance for all live compute spend, including Cloud and GPU Capacity.
Build and maintain per-region and per-partner cost forecasts; refresh on a cadence that supports monthly business reviews and quarterly board reporting.
Run budget-vs-actual on capacity commitments and infrastructure programs, tracking expected eventual spend against approved commitments and customer-driven demand.
Lead financial analysis for capacity-mix decisions, multi-region buildouts on key infrastructure components.
Handle operational finance asks tied to compute partners and live capacity — pricing reviews, true-ups, capacity reshuffles, and contract amendments.
Partner with the Infra and BD leads on deal-to-operations handoffs, ensuring budgets set at contract signing are operationalized at go-live and tracked through their full term.
Build the analytical backbone for gross margin, COGS attribution by customer and model family, and infrastructure ROI on new capacity bets.
