Analytics Engineer managing and analyzing marketing data at BARFER'S, a premium pet food company. Build datasets, tracking setups, and reports to drive insights and performance.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain clean marketing datasets in our modern stack (Airbyte, dbt, BigQuery)
Develop and manage tracking setups, including Google Tag Manager (GTM), GA4, and other marketing platforms
Create automated dashboards and reports (Metabase, BigQuery, GA4, Looker Studio) to track performance and KPIs
Translate business questions from Marketing into data requirements and actionable insights
Support advanced analytics projects such as attribution modeling, cohort and retention analysis, and A/B testing
Ensure data quality and consistency across marketing pipelines and tracking setups
Act as a bridge between Marketing and Data—serving as a sparring partner for stakeholders and a hands-on implementer
Requirements
1–2+ years of experience in Data Analytics, BI, or Marketing Analytics (junior to mid-level profiles welcome)
Strong SQL skills; initial experience with dbt or similar transformation tools is a plus
Familiarity with GTM, GA4, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Klaviyo, and Shopify
Hands-on experience with tracking setups and GTM implementation (event tracking, e-commerce setup, testing, data layer)
Comfortable creating dashboards and reports (Metabase, Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
Analytical mindset: you enjoy turning data into actionable insights
Bonus: basic Python knowledge and an interest in marketing data science
German language skills are a minor plus
