About the role
- Senior Project Controller at Babcock managing complex manufacturing projects in the nuclear sector. Leading project controls team and ensuring integrated project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Project Controls team across multiple workstreams.
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules (Levels 1–4) to support successful project delivery.
- Define, implement and manage project control structures including WBS, OBS, RBS and CBS.
- Ensure alignment between key project control tools, including Primavera P6, Cobra and IFS, for accurate schedule, cost and material requirement tracking.
- Provide regular schedule updates, metrics and analysis, including critical path and resource/cost‑loaded forecasts that inform financial and delivery performance.
Requirements
- Experience using Primavera P6 in a project planning or project controls environment.
- Understanding of earned value management techniques and rules of credit.
- Experience working across full project lifecycles, from bid through to closeout.
- Experience with integrated scheduling and project structure development (WBS/OBS/RBS/CBS).
- Experience applying forensic planning techniques.
- Relevant professional experience in project controls, planning, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience using Cobra (training can be provided) - Desirable.
- Working knowledge of IFS to Level 5 - Desirable.
- The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
