Responsibilities

- Manage complex engineering projects with transformational elements, delivering systems and services that support naval gunnery and future technologies such as Uncrewed Surface Vessels
- Leading a multi-disciplinary team to deliver naval gunnery projects and new business opportunities
- Driving growth strategies, including ownership of Uncrewed Surface Vessel prospects
- Providing leadership and guidance to ensure delivery commitments and financial goals are met
- Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, maintaining confidence in Babcock’s delivery.
- Developing and implementing business cases, delivery plans, and transformation initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Project and Programme Management principles
- Proven track record delivering complex engineering programmes from design through to manufacture
- Experience in managing budgets, schedules, and stakeholder relationships
- Defence sector experience is desirable but not essential
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
- Degree or equivalent qualification/experience
- Recognised project management qualification such as APM PMQ, ChPP or equivalent.
- The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
