About the role

• Senior Backend Developer leveraging AI and automation to architect scalable backend services for EMEA clients. Collaborating regionally while developing complex SaaS integrations utilizing Python and Node.js.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable backend services using Python and Node.js.
• Build SaaS integrations, navigating complex APIs and authentication protocols.
• Ensure all technical solutions are secure, high-performing, and aligned with Avidly’s global architectural standards.
• Build and manage a custom workflow of AI agents to handle the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Report directly to the Tech Lead, EMEA to align development output with regional project priorities.
• Work cross-functionally with Solution Architects and Business Analysts to translate client requirements into a working integration/application.
• Upskill Solution Architects and Business Analysts with technical knowledge/skills where necessary/relevant.
• Contribute to the EMEA technical roadmap by identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend development (Python & Node.js / Typescript).
• Modern Python knowledge, Typing, static analysis using Ruff, and libraries like Pydantic and FastAPI
• Proven track record of building complex, custom integrations between major SaaS platforms.
• Knowledge of HubSpot APIs is a plus
• Familiarity with LLMs (GPT-5.2, Claude 4.5) and agentic frameworks (e.g., CrewAI, LangChain, or PydanticAI).
• Experience with AI assisted coding using tools like Cursor, Github Copilot, or Claude Code
• Ability to work independently to hit aggressive deadlines.
• Exceptional communication skills, fluent in English, (Norwegian, Swedish, and German depending on location are a big plus).
