About the role
- Legal Counsel supporting B2B contract negotiation and compliance issues at Claranova. Requires a strong understanding of data protection and business operations in software industry.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Legal Department, you will play a key cross-functional role central to commercial, operational and compliance matters.
- Support commercial teams in negotiating, drafting and reviewing B2B contracts, including: SaaS contracts / software licenses; master agreements, service agreements, partnerships; clauses relating to data, security, liability, SLAs and compliance.
- Contribute to defining the contract policy, and to standardizing and optimizing contractual documentation.
- Work closely with operations and product teams to ensure product development complies with international regulations.
- Ensure compliance with consumer law, particularly in an environment that still has a strong B2C component.
- Manage and coordinate commercial, consumer and IT disputes in liaison with external counsel.
Requirements
- Advanced law degree (Master / LL.M. or equivalent).
- Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience as a lawyer or legal counsel in-house or at a law firm, ideally in software publishing, SaaS or new technologies and in an international environment.
- Strong experience in technology law and commercial contracts.
