About the role
- DevOps Engineer specialized in Cloud environments at Avanquest, planning and migrating services to the Cloud and implementing microservice architectures.
Responsibilities
- Planning and migrating on-prem services to the Cloud
- Implementing Microservice practices
- Implementing best practices for service performance visibility
- Building and setting up new development tools on cloud infrastructure (Azure, Google)
- Automate, and optimize CI/CD for other processes on projects
- Analysis and monitoring of logs
- Responding to and troubleshooting performance and reliability issues
- Works closely with the development and operations teams to ensure effective communication and close collaboration throughout the application development life cycle
Requirements
- Working knowledge of the TCP/IP stack, routing, and load-balancing technologies
- Hands-on experience with Git as a version control
- Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure provisioning and deployment on Microsoft Azure and Google (GCP)
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using automation tools/ configuration management systems like Terraform
- Good knowledge with logging and monitoring technologies such as DataDog, APM, Elastic Search
- Strong knowledge of best DevOps practices and methodologies
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable and highly available application
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and docker 5 year+
- Understanding networking on different levels
- Strong knowledge of Linux OS administration
- Demonstrated success in working with distributed teams abroad
