About the role
- Quality Assurance Engineer ensuring software quality at AT&T by maintaining web applications. Responsible for test automation, issue resolution, and quality metrics monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the exceptional quality of our back-end and front-end web applications
- Design and execute automated tests
- Identify and resolve issues
- Define corrective measures
- Review system requirements
- Monitor quality assurance metrics to ensure optimal performance
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Work with the US-based Quality Lead to develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Coordinate with stakeholders and identify system requirements
- Monitor debugging process results
- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
Requirements
- Experience as a member of the SCRUM team in the same/similar position
- Experience with testing tools
- Experience with Test Automation
- Experience on the level of the test automation architect or programmer is an Advantage
- Willingness and open to learn new technologies (Windows, Linux, Unix, AZURE, C/C++, C#/.NET, JAVA, Python, TypeScript, Bash, PowerShell, GIT, Some Relational and non-REL DBs such a Mongo, Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL)
- Experience with any Testing Frameworks /Libraries (Playwright, Cypress.IO, Pytest, Selenium, Cucumber) is an advantage
- Experiences with any object-oriented programming language is an Advantage
- Able to work with standard collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, GIT)
- Experiences with IDE are Advantage (we are using MS Studio CODE)
