About the role
- Senior Infrastructure Engineer responsible for designing and maintaining AWS infrastructure. Collaborating with software teams in a fast-paced energy storage company committed to sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and cost-effective AWS cloud architectures
- Implement infrastructure solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, ECS, Lambda, etc.
- Take the lead on key projects, helping to define the appropriate architecture and deliver within timelines and cost constraints
- Utilise Terraform to automate the provisioning, deployment, and management of infrastructure resources
- Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate infrastructure deployments
- Monitor AWS infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations for cost and performance
- Implement security best practices and compliance standards in AWS environments
- Mentor and guide less experienced team members, helping the whole team to grow and develop as engineers.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing infrastructure with terraform on a cloud platform with an expert understanding of Terraform
- Excellent working knowledge of AWS, or other large cloud providers
- Proven track record delivering large projects/improvements across complex Infrastructure deployments and platforms
- Good knowledge of security best practices with expertise in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Experienced in containerization using Docker
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong networking and communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
