About the role
- Staff Wastewater Engineer responsible for client development, proposal creation, and project execution in water design. Collaborate with teams while ensuring adherence to budgets and schedules.
Responsibilities
- Drive client development and strategic positioning
- Create compelling proposals and presentations for water and wastewater design projects
- Collaborate with Area Leaders and Client Account Leaders
- Define project scopes and fee estimates
- Manage risks and oversee key activities for project success
- Lead clients and projects through water and wastewater treatment planning, design, and construction phases
- Create construction documents and project specifications
- Manage construction oversight and administration
- Manage a diverse portfolio of projects for various clients
- Ensure adherence to budgets and schedules
- Support the development of junior engineers and design/drafting technical staff
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field
- 5 years of related industry experience in the water/wastewater field
- Master’s Degree in Engineering (Preferred)
- 10 years of water/wastewater industry-related experience (Preferred)
- PE License in New York and/or nearby states (Preferred)
