Responsibilities
- For the implementation, management, and delivery of Digital Engineering and BIM information management.
- For managing technical aspects of Digital Engineering production for projects or components of major projects.
- To apply the BIM processes and being capable of establishing and implementing a BIM Execution Plan (objectives, requirements, and conditions) and a delivery strategy in conjunction with a client and delivery team.
- To fulfill a senior role across the teams, providing leadership, and mentoring for Digital engineering and BIM information management.
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of the services delivered by Arcadis, business and the industry sector to facilitate personal networking and to consolidate personal and company credibility in the industry.
- Actively engage with clients on projects, opportunities, and pursuits.
- Clearly understand the client’s intended end uses of models developed and continuously implement any improvements with modelling/Digital Engineering processes to better align with those end uses.
- Act as primary contact for software development and testing deployment for clients BIM requirements and other consultants involved in project and establish processes in collaboration with them.
- Prepare, finalize (with regional office input), implement and own project BEPs based on best practice and Arcadis standards.
- Promote the processes, systems, and requirements of BEPs to ensure broad understanding and compliance with the BEP.
- As a DE Manager, actively manage Digital Engineering inputs and the project delivery program to ensure Digital Engineering deliverables can be delivered within the agreed program and cost, highlighting issues to the Project/Design Manager as soon as they become apparent.
- Take responsibility to ensure that all Digital Engineering and BIM modelling is delivered in accordance with the quality requirements outlined in the Arcadis Integrated Management System.
- Periodically review BIM processes and implementation across all sector’s projects to ensure consistency between projects and identify any issues for resolution before they affect project delivery. Where required, review and update Arcadis’ BIM processes.
- Ensure compliance with project BEPs through the role of BIM Manager or through technical reviews. Liaise with the project teams, to ensure review of all BIM models is undertaken for the project.
- Provide technical advice to BIM resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture or Equivalent Courses / Technical Certification relating to BIM.
- Preferably 14 years of experience working with BIM on multi-discipline projects.
- Job experience in design consulting firm is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Application (word, excel, outlook).
- Overseas Experience is advantage (work in other countries or project design outsourcing company).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Have the ability to define Digital Engineering outcomes.
- Have ability in setting up and coordinating a BIM Execution Plan for a given project.
- Able to provide input to estimates for the engineering budget and schedule and to oversee technical resources to meet requirements on large, complex projects.
- Understand how to manage health, safety and welfare within own area of responsibility.
