Project Director leading major data centre construction projects. Responsibilities include managing all project stages from pre-construction to close-out while based primarily in the Nordics.
Responsibilities
Play a key role delivering tech sector mega-projects.
Managing all stages of hyperscale data centre construction projects, taking projects through pre-construction, construction, and close out/fit-up.
Working with the client and general contractor to create and establish the Master Project Schedule and Master Project Budget.
Supporting Contractor pre-qualification, bid solicitation, bid analysis and recommendations.
Supporting contract negotiations.
Assisting the client and the Client’s team in identifying, scoping, buying-out and scheduling of all Owner-direct vendors and consultants.
Managing the General Contractor and other directly contracted vendors on the ground.
Coordinating Value Engineering efforts during the construction phase.
Developing Budget Management and Tracking with the Client’s commercial and PCG team.
Liaising with the Client’s schedule management team to provide Schedule monitoring, tracking and analysis.
Initiating close out process prior to project completion, typically two to three months in advance.
Establishing close out documentation requirements with the Client’s document controller. Collecting and tracking receipt of all close out documents until completion, including warranties, as-builts, O&M manuals, etc.
Assisting with City and/or other Authority final inspections and occupancy process.
Assisting the Client in scheduling, coordination and management of all Owner-direct vendors, consultants.
Requirements
An in-depth understanding of large-scale technical projects and construction techniques.
Ability to manage technical disciplines.
Experience working on Data Centre new build and refurbishment projects, preferably on hyperscale builds, would be advantageous.
Ability to coordinate the work of other discipline specific Owner’s Representatives to achieve the objectives set by the client.
Ability to commit to significant international travel.
