About the role
- System Engineer responsible for implementing and administering IT security solutions with focus on SOPHOS products. Engaging in technical customer support and project work in IT security and networking.
Responsibilities
- Implementation and administration of IT security solutions with a focus on the SOPHOS product portfolio
- Short- and long-term project work in IT security and networking, e.g., migrations of firewall systems
- Technical customer consulting and support
- Management of customer systems within the Sophos MSP program
- Design, operation, testing and further development of IT security measures at customer sites
- Close collaboration and coordination with various interfaces as well as internal and external contacts
- Continuous training and certification in the field of IT security
Requirements
- Analytical or technical educational background, e.g., vocational training with professional experience in IT and IT security or a university degree in Computer Science or IT Security Management
- Solid professional experience in the areas of IT security, firewalls and network technology
- Experience with the SOPHOS product portfolio is essential; relevant vendor certifications are an advantage
- Experience in the administration, use and implementation of IT security solutions and network infrastructures
- Strong analytical skills combined with high problem-solving ability
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills when dealing with changing contacts and a willingness for continuous independent development
- Preferred: Good written and spoken English
