• Senior SDET ensuring high-quality standards for Smart TV streaming applications at Angel. Leading automation and quality strategies for an engaging audience experience.

Responsibilities

• Own quality across the TV experience—from framework to flawless release.
• Architect, build, and maintain robust, scalable automated test frameworks purpose-built for Smart TV and connected device ecosystems.
• Design test approaches covering UI/UX, video playback, and performance testing across Roku, AndroidTV, tvOS, Tizen, WebOS, and beyond.
• Integrate automated test suites into continuous integration pipelines to enable rapid, reliable release cycles.
• Investigate, reproduce, and report complex defects, working closely with engineers to isolate root causes in platform-specific codebases.
• Identify memory leaks, CPU bottlenecks, and video streaming degradation on low-power devices.
• Define, instrument, and track metrics for streaming performance, app health, and user experience.
• Provide expert QA guidance, perform thoughtful test reviews, and coach and accelerate other engineers.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to build quality in from concept to launch.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in test automation engineering
• Hands-on experience testing and automating on living room / Smart TV platforms (Roku, AndroidTV/FireTV, AppleTV, Tizen, WebOS, or similar)
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Appium, Selenium, or proprietary TV SDKs and debugging tools
• Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with performance and memory profiling on resource-constrained devices
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
