About the role
- Senior Mechanical Engineer designing Hydro Generators in Weiz for Andritz Group. Involved in construction and project management within Mechanical Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the design of hydro generators, with a focus on service and rehabilitation projects
- Planning and overseeing the technical execution of projects
- Preparation of conceptual and detailed designs, technical drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs)
- Conducting and moderating design reviews and supporting technical clarifications with customers and internal departments
- Assisting in the preparation of technical documentation
- Addressing quality deviations/non-conformities
- Interface coordination with other disciplines (e.g., turbine, generator, etc.)
- Continuous knowledge transfer within the team
Requirements
- Completed technical education with a focus on mechanical engineering/mechatronics (HTL, University of Applied Sciences, university, or equivalent)
- Several years of professional experience in design/engineering
- Experience with generators is a clear advantage
- Good German and English language skills
- Good MS Office and SAP skills, as well as experience with 3D CAD systems (UG NX) and Teamcenter (TC)
- High level of initiative
