Program Director overseeing CDL Program in academic setting, guiding curriculum development and student success. Ensures faculty performance and supports student engagement and achievement.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Area Manager/Regional Program Director, the CDL Program Director is responsible for providing leadership for the CDL Program.
Provides subject matter expertise and actively participates in curriculum development, revision, and implementation process.
Provides product knowledge training to the Account management group.
Actively participates in new student orientation.
Responsible for hiring, assigning, orienting, developing, evaluating, and recognizing Driver Trainers.
Convene meetings with faculty on a regular basis.
Responsible for monitoring and supporting the student population within the program of study.
Plays an active role in the student advising process.
Analyzes student population data to identify students who may be at risk and provides support.
Responsible for continuous improvement of the program.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
Industry certification in the field of instruction if required by industry, or demonstrated knowledge equivalent to the certification.
3 years of experience in academic instruction in a post-secondary environment.
5 years of industry experience in the field of instruction.
2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
Ability to qualify as a CDL Driver /Driver Trainer.
Knowledge regarding faculty development, including requirements, delivery methods, and reporting.

Ability to show sensitivity to the needs and requirements of adult learners.
