About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of the updated software capitalization guidance under ASU 2025-06
- Review and assess software development projects to determine capitalization eligibility
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to document project approvals
- Support the integration of acquired businesses by establishing capitalization policies
- Perform annual impairment assessments of technology assets
- Prepare, review, and maintain accounting memoranda for significant technology-related contracts
- Monitor new accounting standards and regulatory updates from FASB
- Manage monthly operational accounting activities
- Provide support for internal and external audits
- Work closely with the Senior Manager and broader accounting team on special projects
Requirements
- US CPA or equivalent accounting credentials is mandatory
- 5-7 years of accounting experience, with 2+ years focused on Internal-Use Software (ASC 350-40)
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
- Create high-quality, well-organized documentation
- Ability to research and apply new FASB updates, understanding of SEC regulatory frameworks and SOX compliance requirements
- Big 4 accounting firm background
- Experience in technology or SaaS companies
- Knowledge of cloud computing and hosting arrangements
- Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
- Proficiency in Oracle Fusion, Blackline, NetSuite, or SAP, plus familiarity with Jira for tracking development sprints
