Responsibilities
- Analyze financial data and track project costs
- Ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines
- Assess loan disbursements and monitor expenses
- Generate reports to help mitigate financial risks
- Visit construction sites monthly to review contractor and subcontractor progress claims
- Assist in the delivery of pre-development services to establish project feasibility and risk identification
- Collaborate with senior staff to establish and track project budget
- Facilitate preparation and submission of preliminary report to the lender
- Review construction contracts to minimize completion risks
- Ensure compliance with the Provincial Lien Act in payment certification
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil/Structural Engineering, Building Science, or a related field
- 0-1 year of relevant industry experience
- Membership with CIQS is preferred
- Understanding of construction methodology, development, contracting, and consulting sectors
- Familiarity with the Provincial Lien Act and standard contract conditions (CCDC)
- Ability to prepare, review, and summarize technical reports
- Willingness to learn and use tools such as EstateMaster, CostX, OnScreen Takeoff, AutoCAD, Timberline, Excel, Word, Digitizer, and PowerPoint
- Basic knowledge of site safety, including fall protection, and an understanding of construction schedules
