Lead Architect overseeing IT Architecture & Technology Management for Alterric, managing architecture teams and cloud integration projects. Engage in strategic architecture initiatives with EAM and governance.
Responsibilities
Technical leadership & architecture strategy: Coordination and technical leadership of the architecture team
Further development of architectural competencies and processes
Point of contact for IT management on strategic architecture matters
Development and operationalization of architecture principles, reference architectures and governance processes
Implementation and maintenance of EAM/architecture repository tools (e.g., LeanIX, ADOIT, Alfabet)
Integration of the EAM tool landscape into existing IT processes and toolchains
Creation of target and migration architectures for cloud (Azure), data platforms (e.g., Databricks) and SAP integration
Support for architecture reviews, design workshops and technical decision-making
Participation in transformation projects: interface concepts, API design, security and cost optimization
Close collaboration within the team with Cloud Engineering, Data Architecture and IT Architecture to ensure consistency, feasibility and technical excellence
Coordination of interfaces with adjacent areas such as application management, security and project management
Coaching project teams on architecture patterns, best practices and governance checks
Monitoring and further development of the architecture roadmap, including risk assessment and prioritization
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Several years of experience as a Solution, Cloud or Enterprise Architect – ideally with proven experience in implementing and using EAM tools
Strong knowledge of cloud architectures (Azure preferred), data platforms (e.g., Databricks), API management and integration patterns
Experience with architecture methods and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate) and architecture repositories
Strategic thinking combined with operational implementation capability
Experience in technical leadership of architecture or development teams
Strong communication and facilitation skills, combined with a hands-on mentality
Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
