About the role
- Project Leader in Geotechnics managing construction site and office activities. Joining WESSLING Consulting Engineering's team in Bremen with a focus on geotechnical projects.
Responsibilities
- Support projects in the area of ground engineering/geotechnics (preparation and production of geotechnical reports and foundation engineering calculations/recommendations, excavation acceptance inspections, geotechnical construction supervision)
- Plan and develop investigation concepts and oversee their implementation
- Maintain and expand business relationships with our clients
- Act as an interface to specialist planners and advise clients and construction managers
- Contribute to winning contracts, participate in negotiations and coordinate with our clients, project partners and authorities
- Manage resource deployment, including coordination of subcontractors on your projects
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Geosciences or Civil Engineering with a focus on geotechnics/ground engineering, or equivalent
- Several years of professional/practical experience in the described areas and readiness for the next career step (desirable)
- Interest in a mix of on-site and office activities
- Experience in client support and in acquiring new clients
- Organizational and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Proficient German language skills for social and professional use (minimum C1 level in spoken and written German)
- Confident user of MS Office programs and, if applicable, knowledge of geotechnical software (GGU programs) as well as tendering/estimation software
- Willingness to travel and a valid driving license (class B)
