Responsibilities

• A Manual QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of software applications through systematic testing.
• Creating and executing test cases, identifying defects, collaborating with development teams, and validating that product requirements are met before release.
• Analyze product requirements, user stories, and specifications.
• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Identify test conditions, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Execute manual functional, regression, UI/UX, integration, smoke, and exploratory tests.
• Validate frontend, backend, APIs, and workflows depending on the product.
• Log detailed, reproducible defects using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps.
• Document test results and provide daily/weekly QA reports.
• Track testing progress, coverage, and quality metrics.
• Follow and improve QA processes, methodologies, and best practices.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in manual software testing.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC.
• Experience with issue-tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
• Ability to write clear, detailed test cases and bug reports.
• Understanding of API testing using tools like Postman.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Basic understanding of SQL for backend data validation (preferred).
• Familiarity with test management tools (TestRail, Xray) (preferred).
• Knowledge of usability testing and accessibility testing (preferred).
• Exposure to automation tools (an advantage but not required) (preferred).
• Experience in mobile testing (iOS/Android) (preferred).
