About the role
- Software Tester in Stuttgart or hybrid handling manual tests and test strategies for software quality. Collaborating with teams on accessibility and performance testing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct manual testing to ensure the software meets requirements and functions without defects
- Create detailed, structured test cases based on requirements, specifications and user stories
- Contribute to the development and implementation of test strategies and test concepts that cover the entire software lifecycle
- Identify, document and track software defects and assist with their resolution
- Execute tests according to WCAG 2.1/2.2 guidelines to ensure accessibility for all users
- Produce detailed test reports, especially for accessibility testing, and communicate results to the team
- Perform dynamic testing to ensure the software meets requirements for performance, security and reliability
- Actively participate in agile development teams and support continuous integration and deployment
Requirements
- Completed vocational training or degree in computer science, software development or a comparable qualification
- Proven practical experience in software testing, particularly manual testing of web and mobile applications
- Solid understanding of testing methods, techniques and the creation of test concepts
- ISTQB certification or a comparable qualification in software testing
- Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 guidelines and experience conducting accessibility tests
- A clean police clearance (police certificate) is mandatory
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product owners and other stakeholders
- Knowledge of test automation is an advantage but not required
- German language skills at C2 level or native speaker
