About the role

DevOps Engineer responsible for AWS infrastructures and backend development at Allguth GmbH. Engaging in greenfield projects with modern solutions in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure management: Build, maintain and optimize our AWS-based cloud infrastructure for our mobile app and its dependent backend systems
Container orchestration: Manage and further develop our Docker and Kubernetes environments
CI/CD pipelines: Implement and maintain automated deployment processes
Infrastructure development: Develop and maintain a scalable infrastructure that contributes to the success of our product
Backend development: Independently develop features, e.g. for Click & Collect orders or payment processing for refueling transactions at our service stations
Monitoring & Performance: Set up monitoring solutions, optimize system performance, and troubleshoot and debug applications
Security: Ensure the security of our systems and implement best practices
Automation: Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions

A completed degree in an IT-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Informatics) or an equivalent qualification
At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in developing web- or API-based backend systems and/or in a DevOps/cloud environment
Cloud expertise: Solid experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudFormation, Lambda, etc.) or other public cloud platforms
Container technologies: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes or other orchestration tools
Backend knowledge: Good knowledge of Java and experience with API design (REST, optionally GraphQL), authentication, performance tuning, and system architecture
CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar
Infrastructure automation: Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.)
Version control: Confident use of Git
You demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and enjoy working in a team to find the best solutions together
Fluent spoken and written German (at least C1) and a residence in the greater Munich area would be desirable
