About the role
- Database Security Engineer responsible for implementing security systems at AIG. Protecting and maintaining the integrity of data while ensuring compliance with security standards.
Responsibilities
- Implement security systems for detection, prevention, and deterrence mechanisms
- Design, develop, test, document, monitor, and implement security solutions
- Serve as a trusted partner providing database security SME guidance
- Manage database activity monitoring for security compliance
- Develop and maintain database security standards and procedures
- Enhance existing controls, policies, and guidelines
- Evaluate updates to database security controls and coordinate testing
- Conduct database security compliance checks and report issues
- Work with auditors to provide evidence of security controls adherence
Requirements
- 5+ years of Database Security Engineer experience
- Ability to understand security risks and controls
- Detailed knowledge of major database platforms such as Oracle, SQLSERVER, MySQL
- Working knowledge of at least two or more operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows)
- Maintain familiarity with industry trends and current security practices
- Demonstrate ability to manage complex projects
- Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Reliability in time management and organization skills
