About the role
- Lead actuary managing reserving processes for North America Specialty at AIG. Collaborating with team for timely and accurate reserve results and reporting while ensuring consistency across products.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day work of the team and work together to ensure timely and accurate delivery of the North America Specialty reserve results and local reporting requirements
- Ensure consistency in reserving approach across products within North America Specialty and with global standards
- Collaborate with North America and International reserving management to develop consistent and efficient processes globally
- Review and report upon reserves across North Specialty to Head of Global Specialty and North America Management
- Support the Global Specialty Reserving lead in managing the schedule of reserve reviews for all North America Specialty products
- Ensure appropriate controls are in place for the reserving process
- Develop efficient or improve existing processes for the management and presentation of reserving information across Global Specialty
Requirements
- BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- FIA or FCAS preferred
- 6+ years’ experience in commercial lines
- Experience of reviewing and managing reserving processes
- Experience of setting reserves
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent project management skills
